Maintenance Mechanic III - Overnight Shift

What you’ll do… 

• Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair and/or rebuild a variety of complex and specialized plant and facility equipment
• Repair equipment during mechanical breakdowns or assist other staff in repairs
• Perform root cause analysis
• Understand precedence relationships (e.g. sequence of events)
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas or to install new or repaired parts
• Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data 
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently
• Maintain accurate documentation for assignments, machine repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance logs
• Understand and use SAP Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order Process, production schedules and reports, HMI control panels and machine controls and settings
• Prioritize work assignments to ensure efficiency and that production schedules can be met
• Train other Maintenance Mechanics as required
• Utiltize specific knowledge within multiple skilled trades

 

What you’ll need... 

• 5 years of experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, with trade school or training equivalent.
• Strong root cause analysis skills, able to investigate, compare data, and implement solutions.
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, with expertise in machines, tools, and their maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature/pressure gauges.
• Skilled in reading blueprints, manuals, and schematics, with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation.
• Capable of operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), hoists, and cranes, and maintaining PIT certification.

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and/or packaging industrial experience
• Vocational, Technical or Associate Degree in Machine Tool, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls, Robotics or related field
