Job Summary:
We have an exceptional opportunities for an individual to join our team as a Supervisor for our Sterilization and Dispensary labs. These role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our lab, with a focus on infection control and quality standards. By supervising and assisting staff, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and sanitized environment while adhering to established procedures and techniques. We have shifts in the afternoon (Monday – Friday 11 am – 8 pm), and for the morning shift (Monday – Friday 7 am – 4 pm).
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Work Lead (60%):
- Oversee and support staff in the cleaning and decontamination of instruments and equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and sanitize machines.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of sterilized instruments for distribution to various clinics.
- Anticipate and integrate the demand for sterile instruments, adjusting output accordingly.
- Identify and address instrumentation needs for special programs and events.
Staff Development, Support, Training (20%):
- Provide guidance and training to staff on sterilization procedures, equipment maintenance, and infection control.
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions in a timely manner.
- Make decisions regarding training requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement processes, procedures, and SOPs to ensure compliance. Monitor staff attendance and provide coaching when necessary.
Quality Control (20%):
- Develop, maintain, and monitor sterilization records and operating standards. Document sterilizer process cycles and conduct verification tests.
- Ensure compliance with OSAP Quality Assurance standards.
- Perform biological monitoring and adhere to clinic guidelines and infection control policies.
- Stay updated on changes to sterilization and infection control procedures.
Work Location:
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.
