Course: NUR 132L Nursing I

Dates: 8/25/2025-12/10/2025

Location: Nursing Lab/Clinical Setting

Schedule: Lab: 8/27/2025-9/25/2025 Wednesday/Thursday 0800-1400 Clinical: 10/1/2025-12/10/2025 Wednesday 0645-1845

Course Description: The clinical portion of this Fundamentals course provides an introduction to nursing and roles of the nurse in the medical-surgical setting. The student is given the opportunity to learn and demonstrate basic nursing skills in the lab and in the clinical setting. Health assessment skills and medication administration are also included in this course.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: A Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or a Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and currently enrolled in an MSN program.

Clinical Practice: Two years of nursing care experience on an acute Medical-Surgical unit.

Prior clinical teaching experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: Applicants must possess a current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire. Applicants must also meet the continuing education requirements by the NH Board of Nursing to maintain continuing licensure.

Salary: The hourly rate per clinical contact hour (60 minutes) at each CCSNH College is inclusive of duties associated with clinical preparation and student assessment. The hourly rate is $47.95 to $59.45, and is determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.
