About the role
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position MUST include: 1. Experience in public sector financial management and/or governmental financial accountability practices and systems.; Examples of such experience could include: Senior-level experience in Governmental budget and fiscal policy frameworks, planning and formulation, treasury management operations, budget execution and control policies, cash management, accounting and financial reporting standards, internal control and audit frameworks, or macro-economic and fiscal analysis, ideally including experience with state government. AND 2. Direct supervisory management of staff/teams.; AND 3. Identifying, developing and/or managing international technical assistance projects (see definition); OR Experience managing an implementation team of technical experts related to large international public sector financial management programs. In this context, technical assistance is a form of international development assistance provided to governments of developing and transitioning countries to strengthen their capacity to manage public finances and strengthen financial sectors. Assistance is delivered by technical expert advisors who work side-by-side with government counterparts to transfer knowledge, build institutional capacity, support strategic planning and problem-solving, and help design and implement sustainable reforms. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
