JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The School of Labor and Employment Relations is seeking qualified candidates to revise the following three courses:

  • HRER 825: Strategic Business Tools for HRER Practitioners
  • LHR 466: Labor Union Structure, Administration and Governance
  • LHR 428: Total Rewards

 

Job Duties

The course author will be required to create an asynchronous class with 7 weeks of lessons.

  • Update lesson commentaries, syllabus, and readings
  • Update weekly assignments that measure student learning (Individual essays; group projects; discussion forums)
  • Create rubrics

Authors will work closely with Learning Design staff. The work will begin immediately, and the work will span one or two semesters, depending on the percentage of the course revision.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

Authors must have earned a minimum of a master’s degree. Preference will be given to course authors who have professional experience in the relevant discipline.

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
