The Operations Excellence team is looking for a Continuous Improvement Process Engineer to optimize existing workflows and scale processes to serve multiple operating markets. Ops Excellence is the team within operations focused on building and improving processes. In this position, you will be a key member of a fast-paced operations team as we design best-in-class processes to scale a fully driverless fleet in multiple markets. We're looking for smart, adaptable people who are excited by the idea of working on groundbreaking mobility technology!

What you'll be doing:

• Collaborate across ops, engineering, hardware, technicians, data analytics, quality, and other teams at Cruise to design process flows, optimization projects, and metrics to measure success.
• Partner with Central Operations and technical teams, going on site to validate ops processes for our growing fleets (e.g. charging, cleaning, data offload)
• Build detailed quantitative models to simulate vehicle activities such as charging time, cycle time, idle time, etc.
• Develop strategies for resource optimization, focusing on the people, processes, tools, and technology required for the success of a driverless business.
• Scope, design, and lead kaizen events to map team-specific and cross-functional workflows, identifying opportunities for waste reduction and recommending related tooling and staffing improvements.

What you must have:

• 4+ years of process engineering, industrial engineering, and/or continuous improvement experience manging high-impact projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical/Aerospace/General Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical modeling, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Comfortable operating in an ambiguous and dynamic startup environment with an evolving project scope.
• Capable of working independently and communicating multi-functionally through all levels of the organization.
• Able to ramp up quickly in numerous new technical areas.

Bonus points!

• Advanced degree in related field.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma.
• Experience in rideshare, mobility, fleet management, or at a startup or tech company.
• Experience in product management or product operations.

The salary range for this position is $95,200 - 140,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
