Providence Health Plan is calling a Membership Accounting Assistant who will:

  • Support day-to-day activities
  • Perform general clerical duties to ensure smooth, efficient operation of Membership Accounting

Providence welcomes residents to apply who live in the following counties:

  • Oregon: Multnomah County
  • Oregon: Washington County

Please note the following important details regarding this position:

  • This position is considered to be an on-site position and will report to the office daily as scheduled

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Records and publishes team meeting minutes
  • Maintains storage system and files group billing files
  • Assists with look up and entry of member enrollment data
  • Collates supporting documents with payment coupons and distributes
  • Prepares enrollment forms and correspondence for imaging
  • Maintains team spreadsheets and word documents
  • Electronically distributes e-Routers to appropriate folders
  • Reviews Portability CSIs and determines appropriate new member packet, collates packets and mails
  • Performs general mail functions for the MA team
  • Supports Technical Specialist and Managers for special projects
  • Coordinates team office supply orders and inventory
  • Picks up and delivers key documents between other departments
  • Creates mail-merge documents and general correspondence for the team
  • Coordinates annual group billing file purge and off-site storage/retrieval procedures

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 3+ years of clerical experience in an office setting
  • 2+ years of experience with:
    • Keyboarding
    • Excel Spreadsheets
    • MS Word
    • Outlook Calendaring
    • Data Entry
    • Office Machines
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration Services or similar course of study
  • 1+ years of successful staff experience in a Health Plan Setting
