Electrical Supervisor

Seeking an Industrial Electrician with 5+ years of supervisory experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client, an established electrical contractor based in St. Augustine, Florida.

Pay $25 - $35+/hr 

In this role, you will oversee and manage electrical installation and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and efficient operation of electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.
• Oversee multiple crews on major projects.
• Manage material procurement and requisition needs.
• Establish workflows and sequences to ensure projects remain on track.
• Enforce safety regulations and foster a culture of workplace safety.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician certification preferred.
• Five or more years of experience supervising construction projects.
• Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated history of successful leadership.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding one-line diagrams and PLCs.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Ability to think clearly, remain calm, and demonstrate problem-solving skills using good judgment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
