Job Description
The position will ensure the accuracy of our financials and provide exceptional management/coordination support to our customers and internal teams, managing and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role will routinely partner with others across multiple functions, ensuring proper alignment with policies and procedures for financial reporting.
- Prepare, manage, and analyze financial transactions and reports for management, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with organization policies.
- Participate in month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts, and other accounting duties in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including bank statements, tax filings, and expense reports.
- Prepare & process journal entry posting as needed.
- Analyze and reconcile different account discrepancies and accounting issues.
- Respond to vendors, customers, auditors, as well as other departments inquiries.
- Respond to and work with auditors throughout the entire audit process and prepare annual year end backup support schedules for auditors.
- Data analytics, including monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting and ad hoc analytics needs.
- Oversee and analyze cost expenditures and purchases within the organization.
- Monitor and reconcile unit cost variance, beginning raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished-goods stocks.
- Collect cost information and maintain an expense database.
- Determine fixed costs (e.g., salaries, rent and insurance).
- Implement cost standards for materials and labor; Plan and record variable costs (e.g., purchases of raw material and operations costs)
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
- Prepare cost of goods sold and production reports; Analyze and report profit margins.
- Prepare (monthly, quarterly, and annual) cost forecasts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fluent in Mandarin and English is a plus.
- College degree, with preference in accounting or business-related degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with accounting/ERP software, including proficiency in MS Office and intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets
- Knowledge of full cycle accounting
- Accuracy in data processing and attention to detail required.
- Willingness to follow established policies and procedures consistently and accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to work independently and contribute as a team.
