Admissions Coordinator (Seasonal)

We are seeking an Admissions Coordinator (Seasonal) who will assist the Master of Public Health (MPH) program leadership in managing incoming and current MPH students and MPH alumni, supporting the administrative responsibilities of overseeing the program, and aiding program efforts. As such, he or she works in partnership with the MPH leadership and staff to play an important part in supporting the vision and mission of the Program.
*This is a casual limited position (June-August) for the MPH program office. This position is to support the MPH program and students.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- General support role for MPH Program activities.
- First point of contact for applicants, current students, alumni, staff, etc.
- Fields the MPH Program email, phones, and walk-in.
- Ability to quickly learn about the MPH Program.
- Provides support for summer activities.
- Updates MPH database.
- Handles logistics for a variety of events.
- Create student photo directory.
Required Skills
- Requires excellent communication skills, high level of professionalism, and first-rate writing and verbal skills.
- Ability to think independently and work with minimal direct supervision.
- Flexibility, patience, confidence, and teamwork are strongly preferred.
- Must be well organized, conscientious, and attentive to detail.
- In addition to the responsibilities described above, there may be additional duties to be determined and as assigned by program leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
- Four years progressively responsible administrative experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
