How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry by performing the following duties.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

• Test, troubleshoot and repair production and field service electronics/mechanical assemblies, parts and equipment.
• Adjust and calibrate circuitry and components using principles and theories of electronics.
• Set up test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional and operational test to production and field service electronic assemblies.
• Travel to customer sites to perform installations and field support.
• Write technical reports to describe and illustrate the overall performance of equipment installed.
• Plan, coordinate and carry out in-house product training.

Preferred Experience

• One year related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
•  

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Should solicit customer feedback to improve service
• Must have knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, familiarity with Lotus Notes;
• Must have sound knowledge of electronic/mechanical assemblies;
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry;
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables;
