Summary :

Position Summary
The Supervisor, Cardiovascular Services oversees the day-to-day operations of the cardiovascular clinic’s call center, registration, patient scheduling, and chart prep departments. Organizes and supervises the daily workflow, creates department schedules including provider schedules, and reallocates team members and resources based on patient census and acuity. Ensures compliance with regulatory agency requirements, and that department policies and procedures are being followed. Promotes and strengthens employee engagement, process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Maintains and enhances interpersonal relationships with medical staff, team members, patients, and visitors. Is the contact for after hour on-call provider issues.

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides oversight, training, coaching, mentoring, annual performance reviews, and support to team members.

  • Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly provider schedules. Creates and updates schedule template to meet patient and provider needs. Monitors patient census and identifies opportunities to adjust provider schedule to meet patient care needs. Makes recommendations to Director regarding changes in provider coverage.

  • Supervises the registration process, verifying existing patient information at the time of registration, including using electronic eligibility tools. Ensures appropriate completion of consent form and patient rights to set up a patient account and/or medical record.

  • Is the designated leader to contact in the event the provider is not responding to pages after hours from the communication center and/or ThedaCare On Call.

  • Reviews patient registrations for accuracy and completeness, and maintains metrics to ensure team member performance. Works with team members failing to meet expectations.

  • Emphasizes the importance of patient satisfaction with every team member and focuses on surpassing patient expectations.

  • Ensures appropriate staffing to achieve outcomes within their units.

  • Creates and improves data analysis/reporting capabilities for cardiovascular performance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree

  • Two years of leadership experience in a clinical setting

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance

  • Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

Work Environment:

  • Normally works in climate-controlled office environment

  • Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space

  • Frequent exposure to sharp
