Job Summary
Darktrace is looking for a VP of Product and Solutions Marketing, a senior executive to develop and lead our global product marketing strategy, reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer. Your primary responsibilities will include: developing product and solutions-level messaging and positioning; partnering closely with the development team to manage new product introductions; generate content that establishes our strengths and differentiation within the markets we compete; evangelize internally and externally on the benefits of Darktrace and our portfolio; partner with sales and other go-to-market teams to ensure our a high level of competency and knowledge on our portfolio; and overseeing the GTM strategy and marketing execution for the Darktrace portfolio of offerings.
Location - This position can be based out of any major Darktrace office, including New York, DC, Chicago, Austin, San Francisco or Los Angeles.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive product marketing direction, collaborating with other marketing functions such as demand generation marketing, corporate marketing, and partner marketing.
- Understand market trends, customer requirements, usage and buying behavior, and the partner ecosystem to better identify market opportunities and customer demand for Darktrace’s product offerings.
- Educate the market about Darktrace’s core technical value offerings through multiple collateral such as demos, white-papers, workshops, presentations and technical blogs, driving views of that content.
- Educate sales and the partner sellers about the competitive landscape and competitor offerings.
- Provide input and strategy into product roadmap, strategy, and pricing based on market and customer research finding, industry analyst interactions and competitive findings.
- Use customer, partner and competitive research to influence product strategy and drive effective messaging.
- Develop and own product positioning, messaging and value propositions that differentiate Darktrace solutions in the market.
- Craft engaging audience-specific content, including case studies, solution briefs, web content, presentations, data sheets, white papers and sales playbooks that can be utilized globally.
- Conduct ROI/TCO analysis and develop content to help customers make the business case for Darktrace.
- Manage, build, and lead a strong team by recruiting, coaching and developing team members.
- Excellent strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking skills.
- Travel globally for internal and external engagement, as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record of success in product and solutions marketing, very strong preference from within the cybersecurity industry.
- Minimum of 15 years Enterprise Software / SaaS marketing experience with 10+ years of team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, including industry trends, solutions, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and market insights to drive informed decision-making.
