After School Instructor job responsibilities:

 What you will be doing:

• Lead after school cooking classes for elementary students (K-4) while getting them excited about trying fun and creative recipes, new foods and encouraging them to learn about new cuisines and cultures
• Teach provided lesson plans related to basics of nutrition and healthy eating to kids in a fun and engaging way
• Introduce kids to basic cutting and measuring techniques, food safety, table manners and other concepts provided in the curriculum
• Purchase groceries for each class based on the recipes provided (we reimburse separately for the groceries)

After School Instructor - job qualifications:

• Experience working with children, whether in a school, camp, or similar setting, and is excited to make a positive impact on their educational journey.
• Demonstrates effective classroom management skills, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for students to learn and explore.icookafterschool.com
• Values punctuality, reliability, and the opportunity to contribute to the enrichment of young minds.

After School Instructor Schedule and Pay:

• Pay is $60 per class (classes are 1 hour long)
• We will pair you up with the schools conveniently located near you
• All classes run in the afternoon, based on school dismissal and will begin this Fall at the start of September 
• Starting around December, the opportunity to get into classes earlier for observation and training
