Position Summary
This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Safety and Risk Department. The Safety Administrative Assistant works with internal and external contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgement and professionalism are required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks.
- Enter analytic data in Velocity EHS.
- Maintain training records.
- Receive and organize training and testing documents.
- Compile analytical data into graphic form.
- Prepare forms, documents, and additional information as needed for meetings, trainings, and presentations.

- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of tasks assigned for the Safety and Risk Department.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- 1-4 years of administrative experience
- Recent college graduate with interest in construction work or pursuing college degree in safety and health or construction a plus.
- Technologies-Understanding and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with excellent Excel skills.
- Previous Experience, interest, and/or understanding of commercial construction industry.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Bilingual – Spanish speaker preferred but not required.
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and capacity to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Strong written, and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and exercise discretion and appropriate judgment in handling sensitive material.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Mature and self-directed.
- Work independently as well as in collaborative environment.
- Customer Service oriented.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Must be able to pass drug and background check.
