Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager to lead part of our TOC instrument portfolio including M500 and
Checkpoint. Guided by the company strategic plan, the ideal candidate will drive growth of these TOC
product lines by acting as the product champion across the organization. The person in this role will
define critical product and application requirements and coordinate sustaining engineering priorities for
the assigned portfolio. This position will support consultative sales processes, train global sales teams,
and develop applications resources. This role gathers and prioritizes market requirements from
customers and understands our competitors to be able to define, develop, and release offerings in line
with product strategy from the broader product management team. This candidate is also responsible
for maintaining accurate system information for existing offerings, collaborating with cross-functional
teams to implement new offerings aligned with existing instrumentation, and developing or updating
sales quoting tools in SalesForce.
The position reports directly to the Manager - Product Management, and is a hybrid position, located in Boulder,
Colorado, USA.
Key Characteristics
- Product management experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical industry managing an analytical instrument based portfolio
- Knowledgeable of analytical instrumentation and ultrapure water systems in life science applications
- Demonstrated technical background, preferably with hands-on analytical instrumentation experience
- Demonstrated strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks as defined within a project action plan
- Creative and critical thinking skills to apply to each situation
- Sense of urgency to solve immediate customer issues as they arise
- Self-motivated to own projects and drive results with attention to detail
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and lead the execution of product strategies and growth plans for M500 and Checkpoint product lines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Aftermarket Management to support commercial opportunities and execute action plans.
- Gather and analyze feedback from customers, competitors, internal stakeholders, and market trends and translate those into credible business plans that serve as the basis for product enhancement efforts and other initiatives.
- Develop and execute the product strategy for the assigned portfolio, aligning with overall company goals and market demands.
- Serve as a trusted expert for sales and aftermarket teams by delivering content, training, and support to enable customer success.
- Manage critical communications on the initiatives assigned, ensuring that customer and business needs are embedded in messaging as the product evolves.
- Collaborate on technical projects related to water quality testing research and development through partnerships with technology team or outside resources.
- This will include participation in New Product Introductions (NPIs) for associated product offerings as well as optimizing existing offerings based on internal and external feedback.
- Develop and deliver trainings to global teams and customers ensuring consistency in how our offerings are positioned and how to win. Contribute to development of marketing content and messaging
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned products, analyzing data to drive decision-making and optimize product performance.
- Travel to existing and potential customer locations globally to conduct market research to develop an in-depth, real-world understanding of the applications where Veolia instruments and instrument data are used.
- Use this voice of customer (VOC) information to drive the development of differentiated portfolio that customers value.
