Senior Engineer - Structural Steel & Concrete (Hybrid)

About the role:

As a Senior Structural/Civil Engineer for Structural Steel and Reinforced Concrete Design, you will support design activities like drawings, calculations and provide support.

You will report to the manager for Structural Steel, Embedment & Architectural Design. You will work hybrid requiring 2 days per week worked on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Responsibilities:

• Support design activities in structural steel and reinforced concrete design

• Prepare drawing markups to support change packages

• Author/reviewing calculations performed with analysis software or manually

• Address technical issues for fabrication, assembly, and construction phases

• Technical justification of design changes

• Troubleshoot emergent technical issues

• On-Site support at utilities and construction sites

• Mentor team members for design and FEA tools

• Apply applicable industry codes and standards like ACI, AISC and AWS

• Develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of applicable experience

• Bachelor's's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering

• Professional Engineer license required like E.I.T., PE

• AutoCAD, or similar CAD programs
