About the Role
The Senior Design Manager is a leadership position responsible for guiding complex K–12, commercial, and institutional projects from concept through construction. You will work closely with school districts, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and functional design solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to lead teams, influence design direction, and contribute to projects that directly impact educational environments and communities.

What You Will Do


Lead design and delivery of new construction, renovation, and campus improvement projects
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, including school districts and administrators
Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and staffing
Mentor and lead architects, project managers, and technical staff
Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure alignment and execution
Guide projects through all phases including permitting, bidding, and construction
Ensure compliance with codes, accessibility standards, and K–12 requirements
Lead meetings, workshops, and stakeholder presentations


What You Bring


Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required; Master’s preferred
10+ years of architectural experience with project leadership
Experience delivering K–12, commercial, or institutional projects
Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams


Preferred


Experience working with public school districts
Familiarity with funding processes and stakeholder coordination


Good Faith Salary Range: The annual starting salary for this position is between $110,000 to $140,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
