  The IT Technician will report to the Director of Accounting and work our outside IT specialist.  The position will be responsible for the company’s cloud-based infrastructure, technology management and repair, management of the company’s cybersecurity, training of employees in the safe and advisable use of IT/technology to protect the company’s assets.

Essential Functions 

30% - Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (especially Sharepoint), Harmony/Check Point, Adobe, and Windows Server

10% - Assist outside IT with maintenance of essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

10% - Audit systems and assess their outcomes

10% - Preserve assets, information security, and control structures

10% - Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

10% - Track and maintain hardware and software inventory (laptops, cellphones, etc.)

10% - Development, communication, and enforcement of Excel’s IT policies & procedures

5% - Perform quarterly trainings with employees to ensure compliance with Excel’s IT policies

5% - Various tasks as assigned.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science

· Professional certification

· Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring

· Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions

· Strong creative and analytical thinking
