The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Plant Labor Relations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Promoting and supporting positive labor relations with union leadership and employees
  • Leading the site grievance process, contract negotiations, and arbitrations on behalf of the company
  • Interpreting and applying rules and past practice to be compliant with CBA provisions while meeting the needs of the business
  • Guiding the facilitation of performance management and conflict resolution through consultation and coaching of leaders and employees
  • Collaborating with leaders and functional partners in the development and implementation of key human resources initiatives
  • Contributing to other HR related activities and projects

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher AND seven (7) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

AND

  • High School Diploma/GED from AND (11) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • One (1) or more years of supervisor experience
  • Five (5) or more years of labor relations experience
  • Two (2) or more years of experience leading or supporting the union grievance process, contract negotiations, and arbitrations

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Possess expertise equivalent to that which would be obtained in a master’s degree or higher in a human resources field
  • Possess expertise equivalent to that which is needed to obtain SPHR or PHR certification
  • Human resources experience in a manufacturing environment

Work location: Onsite - Meriden, CT

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
