Job Summary:

This successful candidate will be a member of Energy's functional Finance Group reporting to the Project Financial Analyst. The position will functionally report to Energy's Financial Analyst Supervisor.

Duties will include the production and analysis of project-related financial results and the overall business unit operations, conducting financial review of potential vendors, the development and update of project procedures and ensuring all business unit projects are reported in accordance with Bechtel financial policies. The position will work with Bechtel's transaction processing centers to identify and resolve common financial issues across all projects, and will assist with financial audits, internal and external. The candidate must have the ability to maintain a sense of urgency focusing on critical issues and must be detailed oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

The selected candidate will assist the Energy Financial Services Manager and Lead Financial Analyst in supporting global project accounting activities; which include working with project accounting managers to review contract proposal documentation for adequacy and compliance to good business practices and accounting standards, the review of awarded contract commercial terms to property establish project financial systems, the monitoring of financial performance during execution and liaising with project accounting staff, senior management, and centralized service center staff in helping to resolve project and business unit financial issues, and assisting with project closeout process. #LI-KL1

Major Responsibilities:

• Establishes administrative controls for all accounting functions in accordance with established Bechtel policies and procedures, stakeholder requirements, and applicable local governmental regulations.
• Managing the customer invoicing process for the project.
• Coordinating with the Service Center Billing Organization and Project Team Stakeholders to ensure quality and timely client billing delivery.
• Oversees the preparation of internal, external and regulatory reports related to project financial operations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
• Ongoing review of unbilled cost transactions, unit rate transactions and account reconciliations to ensure that all costs are billed timely, that any held items are addressed promptly, and that all transactions are properly categorized per the contract billing terms.
• Implementation and ongoing improvement of billing controls and processes with an eye to ensuring compliance and meeting deadlines.
• Frequently interacts with customers on several topics and issues related to internal and external audits and other transactional groups (e.g., A/P, Billing, Payroll).
