The Associate Dean I will function as part of a leadership team in conjunction with the Dean and/or Associate Dean II. The people filling these positions will need flexibility and creative problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to their professions, assessment, accountability, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• The Associate Dean I is a full-time academic administrator who reports to the Dean and/or Associate Dean II, and works closely with academic administrators, academic advising, administrative staff, and faculty.
• Maintains quality and integrity of the program curriculum Coordinating faculty recruitment, orientation, development, mentoring, and evaluation Organizing activities of specialization coordinators; working with other service units on faculty development matters College and University committee service; scholarship; and evaluating/assessing the academic programs and student academic performance.
• Developing and maintaining community amongst faculty and students.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

• PhD or earned Doctorate in Social Work or a closely related field is required
• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) is strongly preferred
• 5 or more years of leadership experience at the degree level of the program is required
• Experience working for a CSWE accredited institution is a plus which includes familiarity with working within the CSWE standards and keeping up to date with changes
• Prior experience overseeing BSW field placement is a strong plus
• Experience online teaching is a strong plus
