Job Description

This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Enterprise Products & Platforms (EPP) Supply Chain team, where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonald’s works. We provide best-in-class foundational technology products and services enabling and supporting a Global Indirect Modernization program (GI Mod). This role specifically will be focused on Source to Pay. The functionality will be built using SAP Ariba software with intergration to Icertis for CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) working with our System Integration team.

Reporting to the Sr Product Manager of Global Technology Supply Chain, the Product Owner will anticipate and manage the strategic and tactical needs of the team. You will work with various global partners and stakeholders, including distributors, suppliers, and markets, as well as internal teams responsible for security, platform, and data management. In this role, you will act as a crucial liaison, representing the voice of technology during the development of processes and governance frameworks that will bring our new function to life. This role is crucial in driving outcomes for the Supply Chain Global Indirect Modernization program, managing agile product and process improvements, enhancing user experience and adoption, and ensuring alignment with both Global and Market Supply Chain teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to help shape and champion the transformation of our current Global Indirect Modernization practices and standards for the entire McDonald’s environment on a global scale.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Lead user story gathering and discovery workshops.
  • Lead and participate in daily scrum meetings.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the key business processes and systems and identify integration, alignment, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support developers by providing functional clarification and setting expectations with team and client.
  • Plan and execute test plans and test cases; ensure overall quality of solution.
  • Effectively analyze and prioritize high impact initiatives. Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand the primary use cases.
  • Author and create design artifacts such as: functional design specifications, source to data mapping and process and data flow diagrams.
  • Work with onsite and remote development teams, coordinating with both McDonald’s and third-party vendor development teams.
  • Create and maintain documentation pertaining to product features and work processes while adhering to established standards.
  • Work to implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate risks.
  • Lead the adoption of key takeaways from project retrospectives.
  • Improve team performance by leading, mentoring, training, and presenting effectively.
  • Act as a mentor with the adoption of PMO processes and standards.
  • Solve difficult problems impacting a team or project; identify ways to improve current customer needs.
  • Accountable for project ceremonies using Agile.
  • Contributes to features from ideation, implementation, deployment all the way through maintenance and support.
