Assistant Mortgage Banker - Nashville

The Federal Savings Bank is hiring an experienced and bilingual (English/Spanish) Assistant Mortgage Banker to assist a high-volume Mortgage Banker in the Nashville-area. This role provides crucial support to the Mortgage Banker, white-glove customer service to borrowers, referral partners, and vendors, and assists in seeing files through from application to funding.

This position will work a hybrid schedule (3 days a week in office, 2 days remote). Qualified candidates should reside locally at the time of application.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help manage Banker's pipeline while working with Processing, Underwriting, and Closing teams to ensure loans get closed in a timely manner
• Prepare mortgage applications and disclosures for signing
• Structure loans in Encompass loan origination system
• Review loan guidelines and analyze borrower qualifications
• Marketing tasks maximizing the Mortgage Banker's CRM and past client business (Total Expert CRM)
• Learn critical sales techniques through hands-on sales coaching from our executive team
• Provide fantastic customer service to clients and referral sources in both English & Spanish
• Consistently exceed borrower expectations and Realtor/Builder expectations - Always giving "Wow" service
• Attend functions with Mortgage Banker when requested
• Attend weekly National Sales Meetings
• Approach your day with a positive attitude and a commitment to customer service

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Mortgage Processing or Loan Officer Assistant
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
• 2 year college degree or commensurate mortgage experience
• Experience with Encompass Loan Origination Software (preferred)
• Experience with DU/LP strongly (preferred)
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and require minimal supervision
• Must have a friendly, outgoing, engaging, and positive-focused personality
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Must have favorable background and credit standing
