Analog Devices is seeking a digital design engineer for its Networking Product Group (NPG) in beachside Santa Barbara, CA. NPG designs mixed-signal power management SoCs with significant digital content. This is a demanding multi-disciplinary position with opportunities to make an impact. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Take a lead role in technical requirements definition, architecture, and design

  • Author, review, and validate RTL in support of active projects

  • Develop FPGA-based solutions for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation

  • Evaluation and characterization of ICs and associated demo boards

  • Debugging/testing circuits and making electrical measurements

  • Scripting validation and characterization tasks in control of standard and full-custom bench equipment

  • Building special purpose lab equipment such as evaluation boards, adjustable current loads, and voltage sources

  • Performing cross-discipline product development support duties

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSEE and 5+ years of work experience in digital and mixed-signal design. Work experience must demonstrate a history of success architecting and implementing complex digital designs in a mixed-signal environment.

  • Proficiency with digital design and scripting languages (e.g., SystemVerilog, Tcl, Python)

  • Exposure to FPGA and ASIC design tools (e.g., Vivado, Genus, Innovus, Tempus, Modus, Conformal)

  • Proficiency with bench-top test equipment: power supply, multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc. Good understanding of the operation and measurement of analog circuits.

  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Patient to learn and detail-oriented

  • Enjoy digital logic design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with UVM and Embedded C

  • Detailed knowledge of computer architecture and operating system constructs
