Job Duties

Will represent the company via technical and application support of particular products and working with sales to achieve design-in of Murata’s products. Enable design-in by providing competent and effective technical and application support to customers.  Manage product specification at the responsible customers in cooperation with local sales resources and product divisions. Drives sales promotion of assigned products in cooperation with local sales resources and product divisions to ensure life cycle. Responsible for driving growth in emerging and strategic market spaces for Murata products. Creates, refines, implements, and manages strategic plans to discover and develop new business opportunities. Prepares flash report notifications to sales concerning introduction of new product, process or factory change, and/or promotion status change of products. Completes the design-in-cycle process by tracking design wins to the mass production point, and/or end customers. Works as a team to maximize the Bill of Materials (BOM) content-capture ratio. Understands the pricing strategy of the assigned products and assists the Product Manager and Product Division with business plan and forecast development. Research new market to develop new business studies and reports current market portfolio including trends, size, and maturity. Benchmarks Murata’s position against competitors, developing strategies to increase market share. Provides technical, application and product support, including issues and QC claims. Works to resolve quality claims with QC department. Can handle highly complex accounts/customers. May be team leader on several projects. Provides product training by creating the material and delivering the training. 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar, plus five (5) years experience in Applications Engineering, Business Development Engineering, Sales Engineering, or related field.    

Special Requirements

The required five (5) years of experience must include: two (2) years experience developing embedded device drivers; three (3) years experience supporting wireless device drivers; two (2) years of customer-facing work experience; two (2) years knowledge of various debug tools (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, wireless sniffer, and protocol analyzer); one (1) year Linux PC proficiency using integrated code development environment (IDE) and debug tools; Programming skills include C, Java, Python, PHP, MySQL, javascript. 

Travel Requirements

Domestic Travel required 20% 

International Travel required 5%
