Are you ready to lead transformative projects that will redefine the future of cancer treatment? As the Senior Director of Business Planning, Operations & Transformation, located in our Gaithersburg, MD office, you'll play a crucial role in driving our mission to eliminate cancer as a cause of death. You'll lead a dynamic team within the Business Planning, Operations and Transformation (BPOT) unit, impacting cross-functional teams globally and locally. This position demands strategic foresight, innovative thinking, and collaborative engagement with diverse partners to propel our Oncology and Hematology Business Unit (OBU) forward.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead a team of approximately six full-time employees, fostering professional development and capability growth.
  • Ensure optimal execution of the Oncology Business Operating Model from Ph3 ID through market shaping, scenario planning, launch, asset maximization, and loss of exclusivity.
  • Oversee delivery of all business planning processes, including annual indication prioritization refresh, Tumor Strategy Plans, Brand Strategy Plans, and Business Operations Plans.
  • Lead change through proactive partner management, effective communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Work with function leaders and other key partners to ensure continuous alignment of priorities.
  • Identify obstacles and roadblocks; proactively address complex problems and offer potential solutions.
  • Continuously improve current ways of working by seeking opportunities to drive efficiency and reduce complexity.
  • Engage with Global, Regional, and Market partners to ensure global solutions meet their needs.
  • Partner with Global Business Services on delivery of project management support to Integrated Business Teams (IBTs).

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical or related business
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Experience in Commercial Global and/or Regional roles (Medical or Marketing)
  • Understanding of end-to-end commercialization process at both global and in-market levels
  • Demonstrated cross-function and/or team collaboration
  • Experience driving successful simplification and/or business change initiatives
  • Proven track record to drive operational effectiveness or efficiency through planning or streamlining processes
  • Ability to anticipate, innovate, conceptualize, and develop new impactful solutions
  • Experience in developing a cross-functional team-oriented approach
  • Proven track record to drive projects forward to a successful conclusion in a matrix organization
  • Experience in a fast-paced high-growth environment
  • Project management experience
  • Strong influence without authority skills

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Oncology experience
  • Experience with successful commercial pharma
  • Design thinking, customer-focused and agile mentality to co-create, design, and implement interventions to deliver value
  • Change management experience

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $209,000 to $313,50. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
