In the Unified Technology Program Management Office (UT-PMO), we are always thinking about our customers and how we can ensure we deliver the high-quality products they have come to expect from ServiceNow: transformative, secure, compliant, and on time. It is up to us to drive new product development to the finish line and into our customers’ workplaces.  

  

 

What you get to do in this role:

 

The UT-PMO is seeking a senior principal technical program manager and process engineering expert to lead cross-organization transformational programs. Your focus will be partnering with the Unified Technology Group (UTG) leadership team on the development and execution of programs to deliver priority initiatives. You will be leveraging your program management skills, product knowledge, and organizational knowledge to define the program structure, workstreams, and success criteria. The primary focus will be supporting critical cross-functional engineering engagements. You will partner with all levels of stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment on deliverables, ownership, schedule, and dependencies; you will ensure issues and risks are communicated and addressed effectively. You will deliver high-quality, relevant, timely, and accurate information to enable key decisions and drive the successful completion of the priority initiative(s). To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive understanding of software development, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Provide program leadership and strategic thinking across the UTG organization on engineering initiatives, from initiation through development of the program plan, execution, and operationalization.
  • Drive the most important and complex strategic programs in the engineering organization.
  • Define, build, and implement new technical and operational processes across the organization for scale and efficiency.
  • Architect programs that are large and complex into manageable workstreams and deliverables.
  • Lead and manage cross-organizational collaboration strategy, including executive engagement plan.
  • Effectively present and communicate to an executive audience and technical program teams.
  • Build a strong working relationship across leaders and teams in UTG, Product Management, and Go-to-Market to drive success.
  • Drive complex cross-functional engineering programs, anticipate bottlenecks, use great judgement to make trade-offs and balance business needs with technical capabilities.
  • Create consolidated program milestones, monitor inter-dependencies, mitigation of program risks, and execute communication plans.
  • Manage reporting and resolution of issues, risks, and dependencies; proactively identify potential gaps, suggest mitigations to risks, and take action to complete open items.
  • Optimize existing processes through partnership with team experts.
  • Lead executive readouts, program stakeholder meetings, program team meetings, and workshops with stakeholders to move forward key program deliverables and resolve roadblocks.
