Position is responsible for assisting clinical physics faculty in the development and implementation of new technology and processes. In all cases, the individual will work under the direct supervision of a faculty board-certified or non-board certified clinical physicist.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs data analysis for clinical process improvement.
- Acquires data used for implementing new clinical physics procedures.
- Assists clinical physicist in the development and implementation of new technology and processes:
- Follows instructions of a medical physicist on gathering of specific commissioning data and measurements for a particular technology; follows instructions of a medical physicist on evaluation and verification of specific functions for a particular technology; performs validation measurements for new technology and processes; develops, validates and documents testing and QA procedures for new technology and processes; develops training materials for new technology and processes; provides training to other staff and faculty on specific technology and processes.
- Performs clinical quality assurance measurements.
- Performs patient IMRT quality assurance treatment planning.
