What you'll do...

Position: Staff Software Engineer

Job Location: 860 W California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Develop highly scalable services to process millions of requests per day. Solve complex software system problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology. Design and develop big data pipelines. Work with the data scientists and product managers to carry out various experiments across different areas of the platforms to improve customer experience. Explore and promote cloud based cost effective solutions. Drive projects of high visibility across the organization. Work with mid-to-junior engineers. Perform high level coding duties. Resolve issues within own area of expertise and supporting others in resolving issues.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 6 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 3 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment. 

Skills required: Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java. Experience coding in object-oriented programming language Java and Python. Experience designing and developing Distributed Systems. Experience designing data management systems using Relational and No SQL Databases including MySQL and Cassandra. Experience exploring Cloud based solutions using GCS and Azure. Experience using Distributed Messaging System Kafka. Experience building data pipeline using data orchestrator to process big data from a data lake using Apache Airflow and Apache Spark. Experience extracting meaningful features from a data lake to optimize the machine learning models for various use cases using Spark ML and MLeap. Experience working with software engineers to deliver an end-to-end solution. Experience collaborating with product managers and data scientists to carry out various experiments to improve customer experience. Experience in promptly resolving customer issues. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $174,518/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
