Experienced Technical Lead - Edge Cloud Infrastructure - Boston

Responsibilities

The ByteDance Global Edge Cloud serves as the world's premier edge cloud computing service, offering enterprise users with Content Delivery Network, Edge Security, Edge AI, and Lightweight Computing services. In line with our commitment to excellence, we are looking for senior technical architect.
As a senior technical architect, you will participate in the design, execution, problem-solving, performance optimization, and exploration of new technologies pertaining to edge cloud computing, enabling the team to gain technical superiority.

Responsibilities :
- Having outstanding technical capabilities and deep industry experience to lead the team in technological innovation and architectural design.
- Proficiently mastering multiple technical systems to design highly reliable, scalable, and high-performance system architectures.
- Having sharp insight into new technologies to rationally select suitable ones for the project and assess technology risks.
- Capable of analyzing and solving complex technical problems, providing effective solutions. Familiar with performance optimization methods and strategies to enhance system performance.

Qualifications

Mininum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent technical field with relevant work experience.
- Experience in coding with higher-level languages (such as Python, C++, Go, etc.) and proficiency in learning new languages, technologies, frameworks, and APIs.
- Proficient in the design and implementation of large-scale distributed systems or platforms.
- Skilled in independent thinking, capable of actively identifying issues, conducting systematic problem analysis, and possessing strong problem-solving abilities.
- Possessing the capability to learn, explore, and conduct research in unfamiliar domains.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with CDN, load balance, distributed storage/computing architecture or other public cloud products and technologies
- Experienced in working within a global team and cooperating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic setting with limited oversight.
- Focusing on industry technology trends to drive the team to adapt and lead technological changes continuously.
