Job Summary

**This position is self-scheduling float pool**

Join the renowned Cleveland Clinic team as a Registered Nurse and experience world-class healthcare at its very best. Work alongside talented physicians, nurses and other caregivers at one of the nation’s top hospitals.

In our PRN Float Pool position role you will be supporting our Cleveland Clinic Nursing Institute, supporting 9 different hospitals, including Euclid, Main Campus, Hillcrest, South Pointe, Marymount, Medina, Avon, Fairview and/or Lutheran.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

· Can work independently.

· Is comfortable traveling to a new place and working with different people every day.

· Is flexible enough to work variable shifts and at different hospitals (only one hospital per shift).

This unique position offers a competitive hourly rate similar to an agency, as well as shift differential. You will be able to set up your own schedule and work when you want.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provides general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of sound procedures and practices.
  • Performs accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
  • Assesses and documents patient's pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.
  • Prioritizes and documents patient problems based on assessed needs/problems in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team.
  • Monitors and documents patient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.
  • Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Delegates appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team.
  • Plans delivery of patient care in collaboration with other disciplines that promotes wellness and facilitates the discharge process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 3 years of hire date.

Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum two years recent acute care experience in areas utilizing telemetry monitoring such as cardiac, step - down, medical/surgical telemetry units, concentrated care units.
