About the role

Job Description Summary

Lead the global Master Data Governance and Analytics functions for GE Vernova Gas Power Global Supply Chain. Define and enforce master data standards across ERPs (SAP/Oracle), MES, and PLM; establish the global PFEP framework; and own the MDM mapping layer that enables integration across all digital applications and manufacturing and engineering systems. As the Global Process Digital Authority (GPDA) for master data, set the standards that Local Process Digital Authorities (LPDAs) implement and enforce at each site. Lead the analytics rationalization and incubation function, partnering with IT/DT to consolidate existing reporting tools and prototype new analytics capabilities for frontline teams. This role defines the data foundation that enables every digital initiative to execute at scale.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Master Data Governance & Standards:

  • Define and maintain global master data standards, templates, and data dictionaries across systems, covering master data required for end-to-end supply chain.

  • Establish a global-to-local template model: global fields and definitions are non-negotiable; site-specific extensions are permitted with GPDA approval; any exception affecting integration mapping requires sign-off before go-live.

  • Own the global Plan for Every Part (PFEP) framework and template, defining the standard parameters for every part at every site to enable reliable MRP execution, capacity planning, and system integration.

  • Partner with PLM Principal Engineers, to define and maintain the enterprise PLM–ERP data strategy and digital thread policies for part and material master data, establishing clear system-of-record boundaries across PLM and ERP platforms and supporting multiple platforms and parts mastering approaches by product line and go-to-market strategy.

  • Deploy AI-assisted tools for routine data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, duplicate detection, attribute standardization, classification harmonization, and obsolete material management; establish automated audit cycles that continuously assess completeness and accuracy against global standards.

  • Approve any changes to master data definitions used in standards, reporting, or cross-system integrations; maintain a formal change log and impact assessment process.

  • Partner with Process Engineers to ensure process standards and master data templates evolve together; develop and maintain global training materials and documentation for both global and local users.

GPDA Authority & LDPA Network:

  • Serve as the Global Process Digital Authority (GPDA) for master data: set the standards that Local Process Digital Authorities (LPDAs) implement and enforce at each site through workflows, SOPs, and local training.

  • Own the LDPA governance rhythm: regular cadence for standards updates, compliance reviews, issue escalation, and cross-site read-across of lessons learned, including cross-functional alignment with Engineering/Configuration Management on digital thread policy changes impacting PLM–ERP integration.

  • Exercise authority to pause scaling of any digital initiative where foundational master data is not stable or complete enough to support reliable execution; define and communicate the criteria for readiness.

Integration Data Standards:

  • Own the master data mapping layer that all digital applications (MES, PLM, analytics tools, and others) must conform to before deployment; define and publish the global MDM mapping standards.

  • Partner with Tech Intro and Process Engineering to enforce MDM mapping alignment as a formal checkpoint in the SCALE model at the CONFIRM tollgate before any initiative advances to ARCHITECT.

  • Partner with ERP solution design and architecture teams to validate master data structures, field definitions, coding standards, and governance workflows during ERP design phases.

  • Own master data validation checkpoints across program milestones (build, SIT, UAT, cutover), preventing go-live where data integrity risks remain unresolved.

  • Maintain a living MDM mapping registry that documents field-level definitions, cross-system equivalencies (SAP/Oracle), and approved local variations; flag and resolve conflicts before they reach production.

  • Provide governance, advisement, and functional signoff for data migration and conversion between PLM and ERP platforms, including mapping, validation, and defect triage standard work.

Analytics Rationalization & Incubation:

  • Lead a Supply Chain-wide inventory of analytics and shop-floor reporting tools (MES
