MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented 3D Modeler to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This position is on-site.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Creating accurate, detailed 3D assets for applications critical to defense, training, and operational support

• Create realistic 3D military models in Autodesk 3ds and then import those into Unity system

• Identify and fix technical issues that arise when integrating 3D assets into the Unity environment (e.g., scale issues, rendering artifacts, lighting errors)

• Develop textures and visual effects for models

•  Collaborate with software engineers to test models in Unity after importation and design

• Up to 25% travel required or as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience creating high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations using Autodesk 3ds Max and Unity

• Must have digital portfolio showcasing 3D visualizations experience

• Ability to collaborate with software engineers to interpret 2D diagrams, drawing, and photographs of various military vehicles, aircraft, munitions etc.

• Experience developing lighting, textures, visual effects, and material setups to enhance realism

• Experience optimizing models and terrain for performance and quality

• Must have Security+ Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Autodesk associate or professional certification

• 5+ years modeling and VFX experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Modeling and Simulation, Animation, Computer Graphics or Graphic Design.

Clearance Requirements:

• US Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
