Job Summary

Strategy Development: The broad role is to work as a member of the Regional Performance management teams, actively contributing to the design and execution of the local and business-wide strategy
Developing and implementing a strategic business plan that is aligned to the CPHV objectives that achieves growth ambitions for the Segment. Shape and drive the strategy

Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Effectively communicate developments within areas of activity to all relevant stakeholders.
Ensure impeccable and timeous service levels. Liaise with various Business Unit Heads within Relationship Banking

Revenue Generation: Manage the commercial profitability of the business unit, Grow the client base, including reactivating dormant accounts

People Development: Oversee the Management of Regional Segment Heads and Staff and their Engagement with Clients. Client engagement (New and Existing Clients) to determine client needs and requirements to implement appropriate actions.
Lead the Growth Segment to ensure effective client service delivery. Develop a high performing Growth team by embedding formal performance development and informal coaching.
Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between team members

Job Description

Key accountabilities

Business Strategy

  • Supersize Growth - Accountable for developing strategy and operating plans that contribute to the achievement of organisational results, sustainability and viability, leveraging market intelligence to steer key decisions
  • Targeted Revenue Generation - Proactively identify strategic business opportunities and risks, model alternative solutions, develop scenarios and establish contingency plans in alignment with the strategy.
  • Plan for the strategic interlock management across value-chains; set strategic objectives and priorities among existing services, processes, systems and new developments, and specify the required measurements to monitor performance effectiveness.

Integrate, manage and track financial plans and budgets in alignment with the overall financial objectives.

Customer Strategy

  • Influence the development of and drive the implementation of customer excellence culture that builds positive relationships and encourages feedback.
  • Champion Client engagement and act as a Trusted Advisor to Growth clients for complex cash management, treasury and working capital.
  • Overall accountability for the client experience and work with key partners across Banking, Sales, Onboarding, Service and Operations.
  • Drive customer segmentation, product positioning, pricing, and marketing plans for each client segment.
  • Effective Channel Optimization - Increase penetration of the Bank’s services within the existing client base as well as acquiring new clients for the Bank via all available channels including maximising the use of Virtual channels
  • Lead the Growth clients’ sales origination, pipeline development, customer revenue growth and retention.
  • Lead a team with a defined portfolio of Growth clients, with product and sector expertise, responsible for new cross-sell and retention, in collaboration the leadership teams responsible for product/ solution sales.

Risk Management

  • Accountable for the management of business risk in line with the risk, governance and compliance frameworks and parameters.
  • Maintain a strong risk and control culture & practice across the CPHV team. Maintain a pristine controls environment and lead key activities such as regulatory interaction, Continuity of Business etc.
  • Work closely with second- and third-line partners (Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance) to ensure strong engagement with CPHV, and partner with them to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
