Job Summary

Provide technical support, control, configuration, and maintenance of desktop & laptop computers as well as point of sale hardware across the enterprise. This is a hardware support position requiring both strong technical and customer service skills.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide 1st & 2nd level support for all PC, laptop, peripherals and other equipment.
  • Investigate and respond to requests for technical assistance.
  • Prioritize, assign, and escalate service requests as appropriate.
  • Process requests for new hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Perform hardware and application software troubleshooting, testing, and issues resolution. 
  • Install and configure new computers, repair/upgrade computers and software, and troubleshoot desktop printers.
  • Assist with the receipt, staging, configuration, and shipping of equipment for new sites/users.


The following are desired skillsets (preferred but not required)

  • Perform point of sale hardware installation and support.
  • Provide 1st & 2nd level support for Point-of-Sale related issues. 
  • Investigate and respond to requests for technical assistance with POS vendors.
  • Perform hardware and application POS software troubleshooting, testing, and issues resolution. 
  • Perform routine maintenance; install/configure new POS devices, repair/upgrade POS software, and troubleshoot POS related issues. 
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned by IT Operations Manager.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree preferred, or 2+ years of professional experience in the I.T. industry  
  • 2 or more years of experience providing hardware support for desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripheral devices (both USB and serial)
  • Must have working understanding of modern web conferencing and live video technologies.
  • Must be knowledgeable in audio and presentation systems, including control systems.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot audiovisual systems and equipment, including remotely.
  • Experience in leading large, multi-faceted teams required. 
  • Experience in all aspects of client & vendor management & partnerships required.
  • Basic understanding of network configuration in a corporate environment
  • Experience with Windows 10, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Embedded systems
  • Experience using MS Office applications and SharePoint
  • Experience using command line utilities for troubleshooting 
  •  A+ Certification or equivalent experienced preferred
  • Programming experience a plus

  • Experience working with non-technical users while maintaining a strong customer focus
  • Possess a hardworking, can-do attitude
  • Experience working independently within a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and possess a strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable using the English language for verbal and written communication 
  • Experience in the hospitality industry a plus
