In this key role, you will abstract and code medical information from medical records of cancer patients in accordance with guidelines and definitions of the California Cancer Registry (CCR), Surveillance, Epidemiology and End-Results (SEER), California Cancer Surveillance Program (CSP) of Los Angeles County, and the UCLA Cancer Registry, and the Commission on Cancer.

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm PST (Fully Remote)
Hourly Salary Range: $39.71 - $52.41 (Union represented, step based salary depending on years of experience)

We are seeking a dedicated professional with:
· CTR certification required.
· Prefer 5+ years abstracting experience.
· Experience working in a Cancer Registry
· Excellent organizational skills in maintaining Cancer Data files and conducting annual follow up of cancer data center patients.
· Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
· Skill in prioritizing and performing a variety of duties within a system that has constantly changing assignments, priorities, and deadlines.
· Detailed knowledge of laws, rules and regulations affecting the confidentiality of medical information, and the release of medical information.
· Skill in working independently and following through on assignments in an environment with frequent
