This job ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems by directly managing staff that are responsible for monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. This job is responsible for maximizing the benefits of IT systems by identifying, communicating, and resolving issues. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure, and ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values. Additionally, this job is responsible for both Architecture and Engineering management processes within Infrastructure and Operations.

Education

Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred – Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.

Work Experience

Required - 8 years’ experience in related technology engineering

Preferred – Previous supervisory or leadership experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of how to effectively work under stressful situations to continue objective and professional communications at all times.
• Ability to effectively work with frequent interruptions and frequent changes in priorities.
• Proficient working with databases, on-line solutions, and the programming languages.
• In depth technical knowledge of the target IT infrastructure environment.
• Analytical skills and logical thought processes in order to formulate solutions to problems.

Job Duties

• Supervises, trains, develops, and schedules team of IS Systems Engineers.
• Performs all duties of direct report(s) that evolve around installation and support of the technology infrastructure including maintenance of technology devices and scheduling of activities with PC Support Staff.
• Receives, coordinates, and resolves customer escalations for tier III team.
• Participates in the setting of project goals priorities and timelines with users and team members.  This may include reporting dashboards and metrics.
• Proposes solutions which take into account available and upcoming technologies across multiple platforms.
• Provides proactive quality customer support services and communications to customers.
• Develops, utilizes, and maintains required records for the department, organization, and regulatory agencies.
• Supervises individuals that facilitate the day-to-day operation of the technology infrastructure and maintains proper levels of system and data availability.
