This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club, set outside of Austin TX.

Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club is seeking a Outdoor Pursuits Attendant to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department.

The Outdoor Pursuits Attendant will ensure that the highest level of service is offered to the members of our Club by providing the member with personal and professional service throughout the property when pertaining to any and all outdoor activities. The Outdoor Pursuits Attendant role is a very hands on role and encompasses the organization, instructing, and encouraging of activities, and as much participation as possible in all activities on property. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities
o Leading/instructing members and guests in various activities (fishing, sporting games, crafts, hikes, etc.)
o Overall supervision of youth planned activities with the aim of providing a healthy, safe and memorable experience.
o Execute day-to-day activities for the youth.
o Cleaning, maintaining, and preparing all Outdoor Pursuits related equipment.
o Assist the Outdoor Pursuits Manager with all youth programming including daily activities, camps and special events.
o Willingness to be active outdoors all day in variable weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain, wind) and to walk extensively around the property.
o Assist in the oversight of all games and activities on the sport courts (pickleball, padel, tennis, basketball) and on the sport fields (baseball, football, soccer).
o Ability to assist in the creation of the Outdoor Pursuits programming and events calendar.
o Practice all safety standards on property and at activity spaces.
o Be actively engaged with all members and guests.
o Be an ambassador of the property and DLC at all times both on and off property.
o Communicate effectively and partner with all other departments.
o All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.

• Previous experience in the hospitality or guest service industry
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required - can be obtaining through the Company upon hire.
• Experience working with youth (teaching, daycare, youth leadership) is preferred.

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
