Pool Maintenance Technician

Description

We are seeking a skilled Pool Technician and Repair Specialist to join our Tribal Facilities team. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing swimming pools and spas. This role involves ensuring pools are safe, clean, and operational and diagnosing and fixing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues. 

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct routine cleaning of pool surfaces, skimmers, filters, and pumps.

· Test and balance pool water chemistry, including pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels.

· Vacuum pool floors, brush walls, and clean tiles to remove debris and prevent algae growth.

· Perform regular inspections of pool equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.

· Identify and diagnose issues such as leaks, malfunctions, and wear and tear. 

· Repair or replace pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and lights.

· Fix leaks, broken tiles, and other structural problems.

· Install new pool equipment and accessories as needed. 

· Maintain a safe work environment, using proper safety equipment and procedures. 

· Keep detailed records of services performed, including dates, tasks completed, and chemicals used.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent. 

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· A minimum of three (3) years of experience.

· Technical training or certifications in pool maintenance and repair are required.

· Proven experience as a pool technician/repair specialist or in a similar role.

· Proficiency in water chemistry and pool cleaning techniques.

· Strong knowledge of pool maintenance equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.

· Ability to use various tools and diagnostic equipment.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Time management and organizational skills.

· Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.

Other Duties

In addition to maintaining the pools, the ideal candidate will also assist the Facilities team in day-to-day operations, including, but not limited to, routine maintenance such as daily inspections, plumbing repairs, corrective maintenance, HVAC system maintenance, and equipment repair.
 

Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Schedule

· 8-hour shifts

· Day shift

· Monday - Friday

· On-call schedule as needed

Pay range starting at $23/hour; DOE.
