Th 51 is located just a 5-minute walk from Sloterdijk Station, our restaurant is a buzzing destination for after-work drinks and dinners. Whether it’s enjoying antipasti with a self-poured pint in our lounge or taking a seat in our restaurant for your favorite pizza bursting with flavor, we offer something for everyone. Oh, and queues at the bar? Not here. Our self-pour beer tap wall lets guests skip the wait and pour their own pint. Grab a drink, relax on our lounge sofas, or pull up a bar chair with friends. Cheers to that! 

Our guests aren’t just locals and commuters—many come from our adjacent apartment hotel, staying with us  from a few days to several months. This creates a unique opportunity to build meaningful connections and deliver personalized service.  Adding to the energy, our restaurant also serves as the home base for The July headquarters, making it a popular hangout for colleagues and an ideal venue for in-house events.

The Job

As our Restaurant Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of an exciting new concept that launched just a few months ago. This is your chance to lead, inspire, and shape something truly special. You are responsible for the daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while fostering a motivated and vibrant team. Our multifunctional staff handle both service and kitchen roles, so flexibility and teamwork are at the heart of what we do. You’ll work closely with the General Manager of ID Aparthotel and report to the Head of Restaurants & Events of The July, collaborating to drive success in all aspects of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilties

• Being the key leader of the team, effectively managing the team and driving revenue, quality and standards.

• Responsibility for leading, inspiring and motivating the team to achieve loyalty and retention.

• Ensuring the supply chain is effectively implemented and controlled in keeping with the concept and in line with The July brand and its foundations.

• Effective management of the food and beverage margin within the targets.

Requirements

• Bring good energy and leadership skills.

• Previous experience in a leadership role in hospitality. 

• Detail-oriented and organized, with a talent for balancing the big picture and the small details. 

• Understanding of what drives people, handling situations with empathy and insight. 

• A strong personality, with confidence and enthusiasm to lead the team in the day to day running.

• Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written – to ensure clear communication within the team.

• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage relationships at all levels.

• Financial understanding of a P&L.
