WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Waukesha County's District Attorney's Office is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Senior Administrative Specialist. This role involves performing administrative and program support work under general direction, specifically within a legal environment. The successful candidate will have advanced administrative skills, with a focus on criminal and traffic court terminologies and legal processes in Wisconsin.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong skills in MS Office and comparable office software applications.
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin's judicial and law enforcement systems.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with diverse groups.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
1.    High School Diploma or GED.
2.    Three (3) years of post-high school work experience providing administrative support.

NOTE: One (1) year of recognized post high school training in business, administrative professional or closely related field may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement.

PREFERRED: Knowledge of criminal/traffic terminology, criminal/traffic laws, and related Wisconsin Statutes.
