DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Associate I - Federal to join the team in our San Diego, CA office. The successful candidate will be provided the opportunity to join a talented group of individuals to help deliver important projects such as follows.

• Assist with design, construction documents, plan production, maps, basic reports and other supporting documentation. 
• Assist with gathering background information related to a project site which includes reviewing as-built plans and mapping existing utility service.  
• Demonstrate the ability to learn various CAD and Microsoft Office programs to produce high quality design documents, exhibits, computations and reports. 
• Assist with the preparation of drawings such as those needed for land development projects. 
• Assist with quantities and project cost estimates. 
• Coordinate with design technicians to ensure timely and accurate deliverables. 
• Assist with document preparation for regulatory agencies to obtain required permits. 
• Assist with preparation for client and project meetings. 
• Attend internal project meetings and participates as necessary. 
• Occasionally visits project sites, and reports findings to Engineers and/or Project Managers. 
• Other duties as assigned.

 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 0+ years of related experience under a registered professional 
• EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Strong technical and communication skills with a commitment to quality
• Computer skills include Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD Civil 3D

COMPENSATION 

The approximate compensation range for this position $59,862.40 - $94,307.20 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
