This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.
The ideal candidate is someone who possess the following:
- Capable of setting the vision and strategy for the Wealth business through the technology lens, ensuring alignment with HarbourVest’s overall business goals.
- Fosters teamwork between IT teams, ECI and Business Stakeholders, on project deliveries and continuous improvements of the Platforms.
- Proven in designing and implementing platform strategies.
- Ambitious and driven to achieve flawless execution.
- Ability to ensure the team has a positive work environment and the vital tools, encouraging a culture that supports outstanding client service.
- Ability to lead multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously.
- Ability to solve sophisticated problems independently and multi-functionally.
- Experience leading a workforce consisting of internal staff and external consultants.
- Ability to provide thought leadership in Information Technology Lifecycle Management; maintain evolving expertise and control standard methodologies.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative global environment.
What you will do:
- Lead programs/projects which support and drive the Product/Wealth Channel business objectives.
- Ensure alignment to annual budget. Support Leaders on forecast decisions. Decision on steering budget where required.
- Align closely with the Data & Analytics team to ensure timely, scalable solutions in line with the Firm’s evolving data architecture.
- Maintain alignment with the HarbourVest Vendor Strategy as it relates to contracts, negotiations, scaling and realignment decisions.
- Define and monitoring key performance indicators to evaluate the success of Wealth Channel strategies.
- Responsible for attracting and retaining top talent, establishing a team capable of meeting the organization’s needs.
- Lead and mentor the Product/Wealth Team, setting clear goals and expectations, while providing guidance and resources.
- Collaborate with other IT project teams, departments, and stakeholders to integrate Product/Wealth strategies across the organization.
- Encourage innovation within the team to assess the latest technologies and develop new solutions that enhance the Product/Wealth Channel business.
What you bring:
- Solid understanding of enterprise technology management concepts, principles, and practices
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps infrastructure
- Proficiency in programming languages and software development tools
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and consensus building skills
- Excellent presentation skills including to Executive and C-Level audiences.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Education Preferred
- Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience
Experience
- 10+ Years leadership experience (Manager, Director, VP level) \
- 5+ Years of experience in Financial Services
