The impact you will have in this role:
The Director IT Security Engineering is a Director role passionate about Secrets Vault Management, a critical function within DTCC. This function is responsible for the product management of the Secrets management tools and technologies used to handle access, and the strategy and governance of the Secrets management.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and sustain a ground breaking HashiCorp Vault platform that prioritizes reliability and scalability.
- Orchestrate daily operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the Vault environment while demonstrating Agile frameworks.
- Assist in mentoring junior engineers in Agile standard processes, elevating team proficiency and cohesiveness.
- Be proficient in authoring and leading Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, automating deployment pipelines to minimize manual interactions.
- Embrace or adapt to a platform-centric approach, emphasizing reusable and scalable solutions.
- Collaborate seamlessly across teams to engineer a system with a platform-first approach, as opposed to a tool-centric one.
- Continually advance your expertise in Vault and cybersecurity standard methodologies to adapt to a constantly evolving thread landscape.
- Actively participate in the development, deployment, maintenance, and periodic testing of disaster recovery plans and ensuring rapid response in critical situations.
- Deploying Vault in AWS as a Platform with immutable Vault instances
- Configuring IaC (Terraform) to build, run and deploy Vault in AWS using Gitlab.
- Design and implement Vault to have integration with DevSecOps SDLC platforms (Jenkins, bitbucket)
- Configure and engineering Vault to operate as a POD in Open Shift Containers
- Implementation of Vault to provide dynamic secrets for Open Shift Clusters
- Leverage and use IaC (Terraform) to assist with Vault application and platforms onboarding.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Familiarity with enterprise Identity Access Management.
- Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture.
- Expertise in Dev-Ops, CI/CD, and full lifecycle management.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to understand nuanced requirements and guide junior engineers toward effective solutions.
- Understanding of observability and monitoring tools.
- Kanban is highly desirable, but any Agile experience is acceptable.
- Terraform is preferred
- Strong background in addressing security and regulatory requirements.
- Versatile experience with working in a cloud, on-premises, and/or hybrid environment
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix and a strong understanding of shell scripting.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to think creatively.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
