90 hours per position

Position Summary:

• Coordinate experiments and preparation with lab manager.

• Be present from 9.00 A.M. until students are done with the lab work (1.00-2.00 P.M.).

• Supervise and teach students in the lab.

• Check lab books, grade final reports, help grading student presentations.

• Prepare experiments as needed, e.g. seeding cells.

• Lab management, e.g. advise students in autoclaving, cleaning and lab maintenance.

• Ensure safe and efficient lab work for all course participants. .       

Qualifications:

• Only registered McGill Graduate students are eligible to apply as Teaching Assistants.

• NOTE: All candidates will have to fill out the questionnaire and upload relevant documents (Study permit (if applicable)/Proof of enrollment for Winter 2025 term).

• Experienced with handling of cell cultures (COS cells, CHO cells, lung fibroblast cell lines).

• Experienced with 96-well plate assays; luminescence assays.

• Trained in lab safety (WHMIS), Biosafety cabinet training, hazardous waste management.
