JOB LOCATION Duke Neurosurgery of Raleigh - 3480 Wake Forest Rd JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Patient Service Associate to independently perform health information activities necessary to organize, maintain and use electronic patient health records. Position has a high level of customer service, strong analytic and problem solving skills. Ability to navigate and query multiple electronic record requests. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes a review of authorization or request for records for continuity of care and patient requests.
- Responsible for scanning using Solarity system.
- Monitors and disseminates medical records through electronic fax transmissions.
- Analyze and review basic patient demographics escalating corrections and duplicate medical record merges.
- Serve as front desk coverage with all duties that pertain to front desk registration check-in/out and phone ques.
- Places orders for all fax/copier toners for the center.
- Maintains monthly fax transmissions.
- Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education.
- Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field.
- Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities.
