General Description: This role primarily provides support in all aspects of Personnel Security and other security-supported activities according to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), ICD 704.2, and DODM 5205.07 Vol. 2.
Supervisory Responsibilities:•Mentorship•Training•Performance Management•Lead Team of 3+ Personnel Security Officers
Essential Duties:Provide oversight and assist with in-processing/out-processing personnel, performing indoctrinations, in addition to serving as the focal point for numerous customer service needs Perform Industrial Security functions including the following at the Collateral and SCI level: maintenance of physical/electronic personnel records; security clearance applications; obtain signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NdA) and Non-Disclosure Statement (NdS); emphasize unauthorized disclosure awareness, management, and reporting during initial and refresher security training; classified meeting support; and classified visit requestsOversight and assistance with the processing, monitoring, and tracking of cleared personnel, foreign travel notifications, to include pre- and post-travel briefings. Maintain the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) to accurately reflect all personnel under their security cognizanceProvide guidance and assistance for processing Collateral and SCI position and eligibility requestsProcess derogatory information concerning Collateral and SCI indoctrinated individuals under their security cognizance and oversee the establishment of Security Information FilesReview processes and documentation regularly to ensure standardization, efficiency, and compliance is achievedAdminister and track Security Education and TrainingOversight of Security Management Information System (SIMS)Other duties as assigned or required
Required Skills: Commitment to highest ethical standards while gathering and reporting sensitive informationStrong interpersonal skills to successfully interact and collaborate with internal/external customers across organizational levelsAbility to plan, schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objectives in a dynamic and team-based environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VISIO). Proficiency with DISS, SWFT, NISS, and NCAISS databasesPrior industrial security experience, preferably in a multiple customer environment. Experience with Personnel Security in a SCI or SAP environmentExperience with the SIMS database preferred
Required Education:Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with Personnel Security or High School diploma/GED and 7+ years of experience with Personnel Security
Physical Requirements:Ability to sit and use computer equipment for extended periods of time during research and analysis tasksAbility to lift and/or carry 30 pounds
Special Requirements:U.S. Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph required SCI with polygraph is desired.
Compensation:The base salary range for this full-time position is $99,705 - $124,683 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
