About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Institutional Credit Management Change Management & Enablement team, supporting the critical Helios execution program. Helios is an end-to-end credit management platform predominantly utilized by Underwriting for comprehensive credit analysis. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a strategic program, working across multiple teams, and influencing both vertical execution pillars and broader strategic initiatives, including Operating Model enhancements and AI integration.

The Project Manager will be instrumental in driving program direction and execution, requiring strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to navigate complex business and technological landscapes. This position has the opportunity to significantly impact the overall performance and effectiveness of our Institutional Credit Management Change Management & Enablement Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and project manage multiple workstreams within large-scale projects, focusing on Helios vertical execution, strategic initiatives (Operating Model & AI), or PMO functions.
  • Goal Ownership & Delivery: Own project goals and drive the successful delivery of business outcomes for assigned workstreams and the wider program.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Underwriting, Product Development, Technology, and Project Support teams to define project scope, objectives, and desired business outcomes.
  • PMO & Planning: Utilize best practice PMO methodologies to develop, own, and maintain comprehensive project plans and critical paths, ensuring delivery within approved budgets.
  • Reporting & Transparency: Drive the creation and maintenance of clear, concise project status reports for stakeholders, providing transparency on progress against desired outcomes and goals.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks for assigned workstreams, addressing potential problems before they impact delivery.
  • Problem Solving: Articulate complex problems and desired business outcomes clearly, facilitate collaborative problem-solving, and ensure effective resolution.
  • Adaptability: Tailor project approaches to align with the specific context and constraints of each initiative.
  • Process Improvement: Champion and enforce strong project management practices, including defining and monitoring complex interdependencies and conducting lessons-learned reviews to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of professional experience, with a proven track record in project management.
  • Experience managing large, multi-faceted projects or multiple projects concurrently, preferably within Finance, Technology, Product Development (Fin-tech), or Consulting.
  • Solid experience working within an Agile program framework, including knowledge of sprint cycles and soe experience with JIRA.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive project plans and manage individual deadlines and goals effectively.
  • Strong understanding of project metrics, including data gathering, reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Proficiency in identifying and analyzing issues, generating solutions, and implementing appropriate alternatives through root cause analysis.
  • Adept at managing project scope by evaluating requirement changes and communicating their impact on budget, timelines, and risks.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, anticipate and track operational/tactical risks, clarify requirements, and resolve minor project issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, VISIO, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, staying abreast of current industry trends and new technologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
