Job Summary
The Financial Planning & Analysis team is seeking a driven Data Science, AI, and Business Analytics Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. The intern will support the development of data-driven solutions by applying analytics, machine learning, and generative AI techniques to business problems. This role involves working with large datasets, building predictive models, and creating interactive dashboards to generate insights and support decision-making. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into analytical solutions and improve data models and reporting efficiency.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn the Business Process Flow and Data Flow.
- Analyze the business requirements and convert the requirement into Machine learning/Generative AI/Business Analytics problem
- Identify the needed data features and labels
- Extract, Transform, Integrate data from multiple data sources into a Data Model
- Transforming large amounts of data into compelling visual stories to facilitate analysis and decision making.
- Using large proprietary datasets to conduct training sets and correlation.
- Develop dashboards with rich interactive data visualizations to illustrate the value of bringing the data.
- Predict outcomes based on rigorous experimental design and statistical methods.
- Building related models by using Machine learning and Generative AI techniques
- Assist in benchmarking and quantifying improvements in Generative AI models.
- Regular maintenance of established processes and reports
- Partner with team to optimize data models, improving report speed and efficiency by refining data structures
Education & Experience
- Knowledge of Advanced Predictive Analytics including an exposure to areas such as AI, Deep Learning, Intelligent Bots, Reinforcement Learning, Neural Networks.
- Experience in Data Acquisition/Integration
- Knowledge of data science technologies such as SQL, R, Octave, Python, pandas, scipy, numpy, matplotlib, etc.
- Data Science visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) as well as traditional Reporting/BI tools (Excel).
- Knowledge of Advanced Predictive Analytics including an exposure to areas such as AI, Deep Learning, Intelligent Bots, Reinforcement Learning, Neural Networks.
- Knowledge Exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis like sampling, hypothesis testing, central limit theorem, Machine Learning, Deep learning regression and classification models
- Working knowledge in Generative AI tech stack (Prompt engineering, ChatGPT, Llama, Gemini, RAG etc)
- Experience in Python programming language
- Experience with Relational and non-relational databases

- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
- Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and time management.
- Internship Duration: 10 – 14 weeks.

Working Conditions
- This role will be based on-site in Santa Clara, CA.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
